Canada’s 2016 Dîner en Blanc Season
With the inaugural North American Dîner en Blanc taking place in Montreal way back in 2009, Canada was the first country to follow the tradition of Le Dîner en Blanc de Paris. Seven years later, Canada’s summer picnic season is looking busier than ever! Thirteen cities will be transformed for one night, as they share in the elegance and excitement of Le Dîner en Blanc.
The festivities will start on the West Coast, with Le Dîner en Blanc – Victoria celebrating their 4th edition on Thursday, June 23rd. A couple of weeks later, the Okanagan Valley and Sherbrooke will both take place on July 7th—one night, opposite ends of the country. The 4th edition of Le Dîner en Blanc – Okanagan is sold out! But there are still some tables to reserve over on the East Coast, for the Sherbrooke event. Sign up to the waiting list at sherbrooke.dinerenblanc.info/register.
Two new Canadian cities join Le Dîner en Blanc family this year! Ottawa, the nation’s capital, will see its first wave of white-clad guests take over one of its most beautiful public spaces on August 11th. Victoriaville will follow suit on August 25th. If you want to be part of the celebrations, sign up for their waiting lists at ottawa.dinerenblanc.info/register and victoriaville.dinerenblanc.info/register. Finally, there are two milestones to mark in Toronto and Vancouver, two cities who will celebrate their 5th edition of Le Dîner en Blanc on the same day: Thursday, August 18th!
