The countdown is on! The first Dîner en Blanc events of 2017 will soon take place. Quite a few cities from all corners of the earth are in full preparation.
March will definitely be busy! Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, South Africa, Jamaica, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico are getting their white outfits ready for this unforgettable evening with friends.
Like they had done in 2016, Melbourne and Auckland will get the ball rolling on the same day: Saturday March 4th for their third and forth Dîner en Blanc. We can’t wait to see what the hosts are preparing for their guests. Crossing our fingers for you, Auckland, that the sun will shine for you this year!
San Juan: Get ready! Le Dîner en Blanc is back on Saturday, March 11th. The hosting team is actively planning round 2 and is determined to offer you an event twice as amazing as the first one! Le Dîner en Blanc - Miami is also back in the game this year (we missed you in 2016, welcome back for your third event!)
Enjoy travelling around? Saturday, March 18th will see 4 events on 4 different continents! First, Tauranga - most populous city in the Bay of Plenty Region of the North Island of New Zealand – will have its inaugural edition of Le Dîner en Blanc! According to co-host Kimberley Cleland, the whole city has «fallen in love with the idea of a secret picnic» so it’s no surprise that already in January, more than 500 people had already registered to the waiting list. A few hours later, guests of Le Dîner en Blanc - Ho Chi Minh City will celebrate the second edition of their favorite event of the year. Le Dîner en Blanc - Johannesburg is back as well… After a year of absence, a brand-new team of hosts have taken the elm of this 4th edition. This Dîner en Blanc global day will end up in San José, Costa Rica where their napkins will twirl in the night sky for the third time.
The March events will end in sunny Jamaica. As the French saying goes “jamais deux dans trois”. The tradition continues in Kingston with a third Le Dîner en Blanc scheduled for Saturday, March 25, 2017.
