Le Dîner en Blanc - Edmundston celebrates its 5th anniversary!

This fifth consecutive edition of Le Dîner en Blanc - Edmundston hosted by Janel Ouellet and Juan Manuel Toro Lara will take place on August 24th in - of course - a secret place.
It was during a trip in Paris that Janel Ouellet - who dreams of one day experiencing the original Le Dîner en Blanc de Paris - had the idea to import the concept to her hometown. Thanks to the invaluable help of the city and the host team’s motivation, Le Dîner en Blanc was very successful from the very first year! Despite the rain and some early doubts, the guests truly enjoyed the evening which has now become a local annual tradition that keeps on growing.

“We are very proud of the success of each edition. However, the first edition stands out. Nervous, we didn’t know what to expect. More than 600 guests accepted our invite. Night off, it poured all through the dinner. The festive atmosphere was stronger than the rain which ended before the end of the night. Soaked to the bone but happy, all guests stayed despite the weather and promised to meet again the following year. At the second edition, we were 860 people!”

Last year, the event brought together nearly 920 people in front of one of the city’s most historical venues: The Immaculate Conception Cathedral of Edmundston. The summery weather, the musicians and the enthusiasm of the participants made the 2016 edition a huge success!

Nestled between sparkling rivers and mountains softened by time, the city of Edmundston offers multiple landscapes to welcome outdoor events: Parc provincial de la République, the New Brunswick Botanic Garden, the outdoor center of Mont Farlagne, the Place de l’Hôtel-de-Ville…So, where will the next Dîner en Blanc be? The mystery remains… All will be revealed on August 24th! Only a few places left. If you want to attend, visit edmundston.dinerenblanc.com.
